His Feet
This picture came to mind as I listened to the lyric – the ground began to shake, thestone was rolled away, His perfect love could not be overcome.
The ground beneath the plinth has cracked open releasing a divine light as it approaches Jesus’ body. We always think of blood as something that is gory and not a good sight to see; however, I
wanted to find a way of showing the blood that Jesus shed for us as beautiful. This painting depicts the stone, cold tomb with Jesus’ feet laying uncovered, bare and still bleeding, but the blood turns to gold symbolising something of high value and importance.
Beautiful are the feet of Him that bring good news! Isaiah 52:7
