This painting was possibly one of the most emotional for me to paint! It represents the moments on the third morning after Jesus’ death before He made himself known to Mary Magdelene. Mary lies collapsed in grief clutching Jesus’ garments unaware that His spirit form is looking on.
And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was
crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. Mark 16:6
